General information

CESTOPAL 12 M is a nonionic emulsifier belonging to the ethoxylated cetyl/stearyl alcohol family. In cosmetics, it is used to form oil-in-water emulsions as an emulsifier or as a co-emulsifier within a blended system.

Its HLB value of 13.5 provides a starting point for selecting emulsifier proportions to suit the oil phase. The ingredient can be considered for creams and lotions. Producer also identifies applications in hair relaxers and permanent-wave products.

Application

Hair relaxers and permanent-wave products: as an emulsifying system component.
