EWALAN 19 is a crude, unfractionated wool grease, obtained as a well-extracted fraction from centrifuges. Unlike refined cosmetic and pharmaceutical lanolin grades, EWALAN 19 is clearly technical in nature and is intended primarily for industrial applications where adhesion, lubrication, moisture resistance, and protective properties are crucial.
The raw material is a complex mixture of high molecular weight esters, diesters, and hydroxyesters, aliphatic lanolin alcohols, and sterols. Thanks to its natural fatty-waxy nature, it adheres well to surfaces, forming a protective layer with lubricating and hydrophobic properties. It is particularly useful in technical formulations requiring metal surface protection, lubrication, preservation, or corrosion protection.
EWALAN 19 is not homogenized, therefore natural variations in parameters are permissible, even within a single batch. For this reason, it should not be positioned as a raw material for precise cosmetic formulations, but as an economical technical component for lubricants, anti-corrosion agents, leather treatment and surface applications.
