EWALAN 65 is a classic, versatile anhydrous lanolin intended for cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications. The raw material is a purified wax fraction obtained from sheep wool and belongs to a complex mixture of esters, diesters, hydroxyesters, aliphatic alcohols, and lanolin sterols. Thanks to this structure, it combines the functions of an emollient, a cream-ointment base, a protective ingredient, and a co-emulsifier.
The EWALAN 65 variant is particularly useful where a well-documented, stable, and economically viable lanolin is needed for a wide range of cosmetic and pharmaceutical formulations. The raw material is deodorized at high temperature, which allows for a very mild fragrance profile and promotes microbiological purity. The low water content further reduces conditions conducive to microbial growth.
EWALAN 65 can be used in creams, ointments, balms, protective products, barrier formulations, and natural and certified cosmetics. Compared to more specialized variants of lanolin, its advantage is its universality, good application availability and a favorable balance between quality, documentation and cost-effectiveness of implementation.
