Tetrabutylammonium bromide 50% is a liquid form of the TBAB phase-transfer catalyst. It facilitates contact between reactants present in different phases and can enhance the efficiency of reactions conducted in aqueous-organic systems.
The ready-to-use solution simplifies dosing, reduces dust generation, and eliminates the need to pre-dissolve the product. It can be particularly beneficial in continuous processes and installations utilizing automated raw material feeding systems.
Pharmaceutical synthesis: Conducting biphasic synthesis steps for intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
Specialty chemicals manufacturing: Catalyst for processes requiring anion transfer from the aqueous to the organic phase.
Industrial processes: Alternative to solid (dry) TBAB in installations where dosing the catalyst in a liquid form is preferred.
