Tetraethylammonium hydroxide, referred to as TEAOH or TEAH, is a strong organic base belonging to the group of quaternary ammonium hydroxides. It can act as a process base, a catalyst, and a structure-directing agent in the synthesis of porous materials.
The 35% solution provides a high active substance content and allows for the direct dosing of the product into the process.
Chemical synthesis: Strong organic base and catalyst, including in selected transesterification processes.
Zeolites and porous materials: Structure-directing agent in the synthesis of zeolites, molecular sieves, and mesoporous materials.
Electronics and advanced materials: Application in selective etching, the production of ceramic materials, and specialty process chemicals.
