Application
Cosmetics & Personal Care: Used as a base in ointments, creams, balms, and lip care products. Acts as an emollient and occlusive agent, forming a protective barrier on the skin to prevent transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and promote skin hydration.
Pharmaceutical Industry: Serves as a vehicle for active ingredients in medicinal creams and ointments. Enhances spreadability and prolongs the release of active compounds on the skin.
Technical & Industrial Use: Functions as a lubricant, anti-corrosion agent, and moisture barrier in mechanical systems. Often applied to metal surfaces and components to prevent rust and degradation due to environmental exposure.
